If you feel like your house is always messy and cluttered, no matter how many times you organize and declutter it. You're going to want to stay tuned for this quick little episode, or we're going to be talking about some exciting things that we have coming up this summer.
Hey there, I'm Nicole from The Maximizing Momma, and I am obsessed with creating a home that gives me more peace of mind, more time to myself and more time with my kids. I teach you the tried and true secrets to clearing your clutter, getting organized, and managing your household in a realistic and sustainable way.
This show is where we talk about things like motherhood, decluttering, organizing, creating routines, mindset, energy, and everything in between. Our homes are the foundation for the rest of our lives, and it's so important to have a calm, relaxing household so you can have the time, the peace of mind, and the freedom to truly enjoy motherhood.
So sit back and get ready to take charge of your home.
Hello, hello. Welcome to the Take Charge of Your Home Show. My name is Nicole, also known as the Maximizing Momma. And it seems like it has been forever since I have been on here, I have taken off the last month or so as my kids finished up the school year and started summer break. And let me just say that it has been really tough having them home all day, every day. We have a pool in our backyard, but they're kind of at that age right now where they think that screens are like the coolest thing in the world. So they're fighting every day. And then when their screen time is up, they want to run around in a house and act like toddlers, which is fine by me because I would rather them stay little for as long as possible. But it basically has left me very little quiet time to record any podcast episodes. And right now they are actually at summer camp. So they have been on the wait list for summer camp for the entire summer. And the only openings that were available are the Wednesday through Friday after the 4th of July.
So I am taking full advantage of it and having them there all day for all three days.
Because then after this week starting next week, which I think is like July 9th or something like that, they're back on the wait list, there are no more openings for the rest of the summer. Now I think they go back to school in about five weeks. And that is really what I anticipate going back to our typical weekly schedule where I'm releasing new podcast episodes every single week.
But in the meantime, I am really excited to share with you some things that we have coming up this summer. So first let's talk about the Declutter Diaries. The De clutter Diaries is a private podcast feed that is the real raw and very, very vulnerable story of childhood trauma, addiction, homelessness, anger and clutter. It really goes deep, like very, very deep into how I acquired decades worth of clutter and what it took for me to let it all go. It was just released last week and I'm pretty excited for you to check it out. But since it's private, I will not be sharing the link right here on the podcast. Because some of the things that I talk about might be pretty triggering for some people.
But you can access it through my website. So, if you are listening to this episode on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or Google or anything like that, there will be a link below that says episode website. So you can click there and that will take you to my website, where you will find the De clutter Diaries linked in the main menu.
So if you go check it out, if you have a listen, I would love to know what you think. As I said, it's very vulnerable for me to put out my entire story, because some of the things that I have experienced are definitely not normal. Like they're not things that most people have experienced in their lives.
But it has been very, very healing for me to talk about my story, to talk about the deep, dark things that I had been through, like addiction and homelessness. So, whether you think the diaries are good, or if you think they're bad. If you can relate or even if you think I'm crazy, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Now the next item on our agenda today is a series of live events that we have coming up this summer. The very first one is happening on Tuesday, July 18th in about two weeks, it's a free live workshop called Organizing Secrets for Messy Homes. And this workshop is perfect for you if you feel like you have been trying all the things.
If you feel like you have been organizing and decluttering different areas of your home over and over again. But it never seems to last, like your house keeps getting cluttered and messy all over again. Or if it seems like nothing is just really working. During the hour long workshop, you will discover why organizing and decluttering have not been working. You will unlock the proven strategy to transform your home in no time.
And you will find out how to simplify the entire process so you can take charge of your home, get organized, and declutter like a boss for good. Now there will be a replay available. But since it's a workshop, I highly encourage you to join us live because we'll have the chance to workshop it up as I answer all your burning questions and really get the opportunity to support you with specific problem areas that you're struggling with in your home. And there are limited seats available on zoom. So you'll want to go save your spot right now. I will drop the link in the show notes, just click on that link and that will take you to a web page where you can enter your name and your email, and that will get you all signed up.
This live workshop, Organizing Secrets for Messy Homes is just the beginning of what we have coming up this summer.
We're actually going to have another workshop in August. And then at the beginning of September, we will have another three-day challenge. And the purpose of all of this is really to prepare you for the inaugural launch of a brand new program.
That I'm not going to share the name just yet, but I will say that it will be the only course that you ever need to take your home from cluttered and messy to organized and peaceful. I actually thought about naming it, Take Charge of Your Home, because it's truly going to give you everything that you need from overhauling the mess to ditching the clutter and getting organized and finally maintaining your home for years to come.
There will be lessons on how to tackle the mess, ditch the clutter and organize your mind, your life, your schedule, and your home, as well as lessons for getting your family and your partner on board, creating a cleaning routine and refining your habits and more. And. Let me just say. This is huge guys, because I am always talking about how the home life industry has all this different kinds of advice to help you declutter and organize and clean and tidy and on and on and on. But there is nothing out there that explains how all those concepts fit together. Which is exactly why you feel like you're always spinning your wheels. But now there will be, there will finally be something that explains how all those things can fit together. So you can truly take charge of your home and really just create a functional household for yourself and your family.
So. You're definitely going to want to stay tuned. Go ahead and subscribe to the Take Charge of Your Home Show so that way you don't miss any of these amazing things that we have coming up this summer. Now I will be back next week, right here on the podcast to talk about home life industry mistakes that you're making with your home.
And when I say home life, like the home life industry. I really mean all the different things, all the different concepts of what you're trying to do to keep house. Like cleaning, organizing, decluttering and tidying. Because as I was just kind of alluding to, we're trying to do it all. There's a lot that needs to be done. We need to clean our floors and do the laundry and do the dishes and organize our kids' toys and clean out our closets. And vacuum and mop and learn to put things away when we're done using them and teach our kids to clean up after themselves and then teach our kids to donate to those less fortunate. And then we need to continuously let go of our stuff and then we're bringing more stuff into our home. And it's just like, it's just like a lot.
So in next week's episode, we're going to be talking about the mistakes that you might be making in trying to handle all of these things. I'm going to go ahead and record the episode now and schedule it out for next week. And then, the following Tuesday, on July 18th, we will have the organizing secrets workshop at 12:00 PM central.
So that's really all that I have for you today. I dropped my kids off at summer camp at nine this morning. And it took me several hours to get my dogs calmed down after all the fireworks that have been happening this week. So even though my kids are at summer camp,
It's still been super loud in my house. And now I got to go let my dogs out again. But before I go. I just want to take a moment to thank you for being here. You all have been on my mind over the last month as I have been dying to come back and share more content to help you with your household. So just know that you are deeply appreciated.
And I can't wait to help you take charge of your home. So go check out the link in the show notes to save your seat for the free live workshop, Organizing Secrets for Messy Homes. And if you want to check out the Declutter Diaries, you can find that on my website.
I love you all. I'm so happy to be here and I am so truly grateful to have you listening. I'll talk to you soon. Bye.
